Korg Trident Synthesizer - Fully Serviced / Near Mint SN 330453

"Near-mint condition Korg Trident mkI synth. Paint and silkscreen is mint. The wooden cabinet has some minor scrapes and dents that I tried to capture as best as possible in the photo, but nothing major. The synth was just fully serviced by Bell Tone Synthworks in Philadelphia, which included the following -

Replaced power supply capacitors, rectifiers, regulators
Replaced all Matsushita capacitors
Cleaned pots
Tuned voices / calibrated antilog, power supply and resonance circuits
Tested all functions
Additionally, the keybed feels fantastic with no faulty keys. Overall, this is a near collector-grade Korg Trident. As for the wood cabinet, some touch-up with a furniture pen would truly minimize any visible faults. As an FYI, upon check-in to BellTone, the synth showed no faults, but because the Matsushita capacitors are known to be out of original tolerances at this point in time, I felt it was necessary to do. In all, I spent $1200 in preventative maintenance on this Trident for its future owner."

"All have full function and are setup for 120v (though I think the CS-10 needs to be double checked). The CS-15 and CS-30 come from our friend Ko (Modeless) in Japan. Someone posted a CS-30 mod design of Ko's on Matrixsynth [some posts here - found the 5 and 15 but not the 30] and I asked if he would do the same for mine. It is all installed (except) the Osc Sync board (unfortunately he didn't have the parts, put the switch in place - but that's where it ended) - it has, for instance, Din Sync for the sequencer. The mods do not interfere with or remove any of the original function. I have the list and may add it here later. The CS-5 was a reverb purchase for me, and the CS-10 came from a synth tech/collector friend in Sacramento (he can't precisely remember if he converted the CS-10 to 120v - hence should be checked)."

It’s existence was doubted for a long time. There are a very few people who have even seen a real picture of it.

And here it is:
ITS REAL! Fully working, excellent condition and great sounding!

„The Yamaha AVX1 is a super rare MIDI-compatible AWM Voice Expander that comprise the expanded system of the HX Series Electone. An FM expander was also available: the Yamaha FVX1. The AVX1 is based on Yamaha's advanced wave memory (AWM) engine, which combines and filters sampled sounds to create voices, that would later power the SY line of synthesizers.

The AVX1 doesn't have onboard samples, but uses external swappable ROM cards made specifically for the HX Series Electone. Up to eight of these cartridges can be inserted in a special drawer. Then it's possible to either play a single tone with 16 notes of polyphony or two of them layered with 8 notes of polyphony each. There are 16 performance slots available to save layer combinations.

Similarly to what is offered on the DMP7 and DMP11, the onboard mixers also has additional effects available: Stereo-Chorus, Stereo-Pan, Symphonic, Phaser, Flanger, Delay, Tremolo, Digital hall, Celeste and Wah.„

Oberheim OB-8

"This Oberheim OB8 was purchased locally in Austin, Texas and received a full service from Switched On Austin last year. Service performed included recapping, cleaning pots and full calibration/tuning.
This OB8 comes with MIDI.
A very nice stardust vinyl cover with Oberheim logo is included.
While under my care, this instrument has not been idle - it gets powered up and used regularly.
All pots are dead silent and smooth to turn - all buttons light up and respond instantly - outputs are silent and hold cables solidly in place without jiggling. Power supply housing holds power cable tightly in place.
Original keyboard is spotless, responsive.
Pitch and mod benders are sturdy with proper resistance and feel.
A few stray scratches here and there - overall, an extremely clean face and working surface.
Back panel has no warping, melting, discoloration, smearing or other nasty stuff you might see on a vintage synth.
Original wood panels are smooth and have retained their natural color and character.
Lastly, the sound is just as strong, vivid and dynamic as one would expect from an Oberheim.
In short, this is a beautiful instrument in outstanding condition that will give its new owner several years of trouble-free use.
One thing to note - the original presets were loaded when the service was done last year, but I have written over most of them with various pads I needed for a project. They'll still be there at the time of purchase.
How did I arrive at the price? I am not a collector - I am a professional artist and do not "flip" instruments. I paid $5000 for this instrument in Dec of 2020 right here on Reverb and I paid for $1000 worth of service months later - I think $5995 is fair and probably the best price on Reverb. I have used this synth often and recorded what I needed from it. It's always been a joy to own and use. It's simply time to move on to my next project and make room in my studio for other gear."

"Collector grade 100% working Multivox MX-450 bass synth pedals. Super clean and collector grade. A few very tiny tiny tiny marks but if I told you it was 5 years old it looks that new. It's about 43-45 years old from what I could gather

One owner 'from off the back shelf'. It was used about half dozen times by hand (not foot) and stored away. Purchased from the original owner.

All LEDs are working and switches and pedals are working as intended. You can dial in some serious 80's jaws like, Randy Newman, Cars tune like tones with this unit."

"Have you been searching for a very rare classic/vintage synthesizer? Well; here it is! One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL synthesizers ever built... Any angel you look at it, it is BREATH-TAKING; and screams late 70's... What makes this gem extra unique and special, is the condition that is in! It has been well preserved, and is in MINT CONDITION! This wonder is adored by all collectors, and will keep on going up in value... Needless to say, being in this condition, everything works perfectly as it was, when it rolled off the factory.

My wife inherited this from her grandfather. He was a very neat person, and a collector. So, it has been pampered all its life, barely played with, and mostly tucked away securely in the closet with the rest of the collectables (that we might make available for sale soon! Stay tuned...). I truly enjoy, and adore this magnificent synth, and really wish I could keep it, but the decision is not mine to make...

I am sure that if you are looking at this item, you know enough about it. But you can always Google it, and read all you need.

It is truly hard for us to part with it, and we hope this unique and rare beauty finds a good home, and stays in this condition, so one day, it may end up in a museum..."

-All his components and attributes are the original ones: "Moog" back panel stickers little yellowed,

-The aluminium chassis is free from any dent, and it looks perfectly shining.

-The unit has not been repainted , it is in his original state like when came out of the Buffalo N.Y. factory in 1980

-Any blemish, scratch, rust, damage, nor modification.

-You can spot his age as the blue plastic switches have a slight green patina on

-It has been just controlled and fully tested from my technician: ALL internal components are the originals one,

"It is the US version. The PSU is recapped, running silently and ensuring problem-free operation for the next few decades to come.

All tuning tests pass, you can see in the video [abvove].

Optically, it is in collector’s grade condition, very few and very minor blemishes on the side panels, no scrateches or dings on the front panel - again this can be seen in great detail in the video."

"Incredibly cool piece of RARE vintage analog goodness. This is a pretty-much-mint condition 1970 Brother Auto Emillion GX-151 Synthesizer/Organ.

Before it was the Baldwin Discoverer DS-50, it was the Brother Auto-Emillion GX-151, manufactured by the Japanese printer company, who later sold the rights to Baldwin.

Made by Brother Industries, Nagoya Japan, and sold in the US under the name Baldwin Discoverer. Which was a favorite of Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys, and later Radiohead, Gorillaz, Beck, Haley Williams - Tiny Desk NPR, etc...

This one’s definitely for the collector, but could also be a fully functioning addition to the keys collection of any recording studio looking for those extremely rare, cool retro vibes.

This analog synth/organ has a number of great preset sounds, as well as the potential to create your own sounds combining different sound voices.

This machine has the ability to record user-created arpeggiated or chord sequences, and this function works perfectly. One saved sequence can be stored on a microchip which is working perfectly, even after powering off. It is also one finger or live automated if desired. Similar to a Suzuki Omnichord, but with a synth/keyboard.

There is a Mic input which can be volume controlled on the interface, expression pedal input, Line out, and Line in, Input jack for DC 12V.

There's a great built-in analog drum machine, with great preset rhythms, reminiscent of the Roland CR-78, and two different rhythms can be played at once, creating nice new combinations.

This is a great sounding machine with tons of character.

Again, it is in collector condition. Comes with the original Instruction Manual, the two original music stands, and complete with the original dark grey Brother carry bag.

Minus one tiny scratch on the left end piece. Every function, knob, and slider is in working condition. It’s been in storage for a few years, so some of the pots are scratchy, could use some canned air or contact cleaner. All in all, it’s in fantastic shape.

Purchased in Ireland, Comes with the original European 250v Brother A/C adapter. I’ll include the after market 12v USA adaptor pictured."
